So the word on the street is that the Big Brother 10 houseguests have been notified that their immediate future is about to be turned upside down. If this is so, then the official countdown has begun. Surely there will be leaks to friends...family members who can't keep their lips sealed...employers who want a little free publicity. If we're lucky, the next few weeks will be so loaded with rumors - both true and false - that we will suddenly wake up one day and realize that it is July 13 and the fun is about to begin.
There have been suggestions that the house will consist of different varieties of "total opposites". Hunters vs PETA, Religious Fanatics vs Non- Believers, ...those are a couple of examples that have been thrown out there.
Imagine where a little innovative casting could go with this scenario. Could it be Bloods vs Crips? That would be a site...especially when they dress up in their themed costumes for the challenges. Seeing one of the baddest dudes in the group strolling around in his newly won unitard...priceless, I tell you...PURE GOLD.
That may be a little extreme - and possibly a tad dangerous - so I expect that it will be kept more mainstream. Punk vs Prep, White Collar vs Blue Collar, Laid Back vs Stress Out...or the most explosive set of opposites they could possibly put together... men vs women. (Comments, Please)
Either way, we are sure to see plot twists come and go. If nothing else, Big Brother has shown the ability to change midstream and ultimately give us what we want. Interesting and larger-than-life personalities, drastically differing lifestyles, a variety of competitions...and most of all... household drama. We all come looking for something different. Whatever it is we get out of this summertime tradition, I don't expect that Big Brother 10 will let any of us down.
